History
OPJS University is a State University located in Churu District of Rajasthan, India. It is accredited by University Grants Commission U/S 2 of 1956.[1] University offers courses[2] in the fields of engineering, pharmacy, law, business education, and agriculture.[3][4] The university was debarred from enrolling Ph.D. scholars and named as ‘unrecognized’ as it failed to provide information regarding Ph.D. degrees awarded in 2018.
According to OPJS University’s trust before making the university it was started as a Primary school and the school Arya Pathshala established 1922 by late Shri Sanwaliaram. After India Independence and demise of Sanwaliaram his son, Om Parkash made a school trust board. At last Om Parkash’s son, Jogender Singh[7][8] founded the university. After getting permission from University Grants Commission (India), the founder named the university name on his as well as his father’s name as ‘Om Parkash Jogender Singh University’. The university is simply as known as OPJS University.

Available Programs
Om Prakash Joginder Singh [OPJS] University offers graduation, post-graduation, doctoral program, certificate, diploma, and postgraduate diploma courses. The University offers various programs in the subjects such as Agriculture & V. Science, Engineering & Technology, Commerce and Management Studies, Computer Science & IT, Architecture & Planning, Hotel Management, Library & Information Science, Science, Arts & Social Studies, Foreign & Indian Languages, Education & Physical Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Law, Pharmacy, Para-Medical Science, and Philosophy & Research, Fire & Safety.
OPJS University Facilities
The University offers various facilities to cater to the needs of the students as well as faculty members. Some of these are as follows.
- Library: The University has a well-furnished central library with a collection of textbooks, national and international journals of well-known publications. It also has an e-library to access the research materials and various Journals.
- Wi-Fi: The University campus has high-speed internet connectivity to help students in the completion of notes, projects, assignments, and presentations.
- Computer Lab: The University provides Computer Labs with state-of-the-art facilities such as high speed leased line internet connectivity, UPS power backup, Linux mail server, and antivirus software protection.
- Modern Classrooms: The classrooms have LCD multimedia projectors, public address systems, collar, and cordless microphones. The University is planning to introduce the Biometric Advanced System in the classrooms.
- Auditorium: The University has a spacious Auditorium with a sitting capacity of around 1000 people equipped with facilities such as high-end projections.
- Sports: The University promotes sports activities and plans to develop grounds for playing outdoor games such as Hockey and Football.
- Hostels: The University has separate hostels for boys and girls. The eco-friendly hostels provide a Dining hall, a Common room, TV and spacious rooms as per the student’s requirement.
- Cafeteria: The food quality is maintained and checked by the canteen owner. Healthy and hygienic food served to the students and staff.
- Campus Clinic: The University provides medical facilities to the students enrolled in various regular courses.

Act
to provide for establishment and incorporation of the OPJS
University, Churu in the State of Rajasthan and matters connected
therewith and incidental thereto.
Whereas, with a view to keep pace with the rapid
development in all spheres of knowledge in the world and the
country, it is essential to create world level modern research and
study facilities in the State to provide state of the art educational
facilities to the youth at their door steps so that they can make out
of them human resources compatible to liberalized economic and
social order of the world;
And whereas, rapid advancement in knowledge and
changing requirements of human resources makes it essential that a
resourceful and quick and responsive system of educational
research and development be created which can work with
entrepreneurial zeal under an essential regulatory set up and such a
system can be created by allowing the private institutions engaged
in higher education having sufficient resources and experience to
establish universities and by incorporating such universities with
such regulatory provisions as ensure efficient working of such
institutions;
And whereas, the O.P.J.S. Trust, Rohtak (Haryana) is a
Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 (Act No. 2 of
1882) in the office of the Joint Sub-Registrar, Rohtak (Haryana) at
Registration No. 9549 dated 3.12.2009 is engaged in the field of
education and running educational institutions;
